Athletics
Welcome to Middle School Athletics
At our Middle School, athletics play a vital role in developing well-rounded students who embody teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship. As the Athletic Director, I’m proud to lead a program that encourages every student to participate, grow, and succeed both on and off the field. Whether your child is a seasoned competitor or trying a sport for the first time, our goal is to provide a positive, inclusive environment that builds confidence and lasting memories.
Central Middle School - Playing Time Philosophy
We are thrilled to support our student-athletes as they grow both on and off the field. At Central Middle School, our athletic programs are designed to foster growth, teamwork, and a love for the game, while also preparing our athletes for the next level of competition.
Junior Varsity (JV) Program
In our JV program, we prioritize equal playing time for all athletes. This approach ensures every student-athlete has the opportunity to develop their skills, gain confidence, and contribute to the team’s success. We believe this creates a positive and inclusive environment where growth and teamwork are the top priorities.
Varsity Program
Our Varsity programs focus on competition and fielding the strongest lineup to maximize the team’s chances of winning. Playing time at the Varsity level is therefore not guaranteed to be equal and will vary based on performance, strategy, and game situations. This philosophy helps prepare our athletes for the competitive demands of high school and beyond.
Open Communication
We recognize that playing time can be a sensitive topic. We strongly encourage our student-athletes to speak directly with their coaches about any concerns or questions they may have, doing so in a respectful and responsible manner. Open communication is essential to their personal growth and helps everyone better understand the team’s goals.
