Student Council

Penn Central Student Council

We are very fortunate to have a long-established Student Council at Penn Central Middle School.  It is an organization that is dedicated to the creation of a variety of opportunities that allows all students to connect with their school. In representing the student body, Student Council has grown to be at the heart of student involvement.

For interested students, the application process opens twice a year for 6th and 7th graders where each applicant is guaranteed an interview with Student Council’s officers and advisor. Members are elected for office every spring and must have served on the Student Council for at least one year.  Being a part of Student Council entails a great deal of hard work and initiative, but the rewards of seeing a job well done are a great source of pride and satisfaction.

Student Council provides a great opportunity to make a positive impact both in school and in the community.  Activities and projects are testing grounds for new ideas that become part of Penn Central’s traditions.  It is an organization that stresses citizenship and service along with a healthy dose of kindness and mutual support.   We know that together, there isn’t anything we can’t do!
